The Story

A decade in the making.

The first chapter

Alkalyne begins life in Humboldt County as Byte Jockeyz — a development studio landing its first client work, from a mobile nutrient calculator app to websites for local businesses.

The move to Los Angeles

The studio relocates to LA, closer to family and to the small-business community it serves today.

Becoming Alkalyne

A rebrand marks the shift from pure development shop to full creative studio — cleaner name, wider ambitions, and a growing roster spanning restaurants, nonprofits, publishers, automotive, and cannabis brands.

Design across every dimension

With FDM printers and a laser cutter running alongside the design desk, Alkalyne takes brands from pixels to plastic — web, identity, packaging, and physical fabrication under one roof.

Roots

Alkalyne was founded by Andrew Martin, who grew up watching his father turn a lifelong passion for cars into a hot rod shop where relationships lasted decades. That lesson — that craft and care build businesses — runs through everything the studio makes today. The hot rods became pixels, code, and a growing fleet of printers; the standard stayed the same.
